Suppliers

Everyone restoring a vintage Volkswagen will agree with me that it can be a time consuming job to find bits and pieces for your masterpiece.

Below you will find a list of companies that have qualified as Hazel Armstrong certified suppliers. Some were found through surfing the internet, some by word of mouth. The companies have been evaluated on customer friendliness, quality of their products and speed and correctness of their deliveries. The companies below won't try to filch your last penny; they share the same passion for your vintage Volkswagen or might even have devoted their lives to them.

Wolfsburg West Print E-mail

One of my friends directed me to Wolfsburg West, an American company, that has been in the business for more than 20 years, making Wolfsburg West the ultimate source for Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Bus restoration parts.

They maintain a very easy to use and up to date web shop, which makes buying at Wolfsburg West a piece of cake. My personal experience was more than satisfactory: I bought a couple of bearings, bushes and door seals, that were delivered at my place in the Netherlands only 3 days later!

Stop your search for those Samba trims, that Westfalia imperial or those Safari windows. Do not get ripped off by ruthless merchants that will try to make every last penny out of their trade. All of these gadgets can be found at Creative Engineering: Dave will personally guarantee the quality of his products.

His deliveries could use a little more organization as I heard from word of mouth and the products from Creative Engineering are far from cheap, but the quality of their products is truly, world-wide unmatched!

Paruzzi Print E-mail

Although Paruzzi is a specialist in bug parts, they do deserve to be mentioned as an approved supplier because of their superb web-store and postal services. Orders placed via the web-store will be delivered the next day if ordered from within the Benelux.

I ordered a diversity of parts for my engine, but also a new headliner and visors. They do have a small selection of split screen sheet metal available. Contact them for more details or special requests, since they have a lot of contacts in the Volkswagen scene.

Metamorfose Print E-mail

Chrome plating will probably never come cheap, at least not if you want it to be done well. Now a day, a lot of new chrome parts come from Brazilian factories or other countries that have underpaid personnel. The drawback from this cheap chrome is that the quality is pretty poor. I have seen stuff started to rust within half a year.

Metamorfose is a Dutch company that chrome plates anything, whether it is small or big. You can request for a proposal by sending a picture and mentioning the sizes of the object you would like to have chrome plated. They guarantee that you won’t survive the quality of their product. Delivery might take some time, but it is worth the wait. Contact them for details on international orders.
