Chrome plating Print E-mail

It is too bad that I do not have any photos of the chrome door handles and emblems before the chrome plating, because that would make you realise what kind of a brilliant job they did with these corroded parts.

Chrome plating is an expensive process, which you will have to put out to a professional company. Alternatively you can buy “chrome” coloured spray paint, but this does not even get close to real chrome. So, start saving money by shopping at the budget supermarkets, using news papers for toilet paper and dining out at friends and parents :-p

My parts were chrome plated in one of the Eastern bloc countries. You will have to take the risk of loosing parts since it is quite a distance to travel and things are just less organized. More recently I had some pieces chrome plated at Metamorfose, a Dutch company, which guaranteed that I would not survive the quality of their product: seems like a tough one to test…
