Suppliers

Everyone restoring a vintage Volkswagen will agree with me that it can be a time consuming job to find bits and pieces for your masterpiece. Below you will find a list of companies that have qualified as Hazel Armstrong certified suppliers. Some were found through surfing the internet, some by word of mouth. The companies have been evaluated on customer friendliness, quality of their products and speed and correctness of their deliveries. The companies below won't try to filch your last penny; they share the same passion for your vintage Volkswagen or might even have devoted their lives to them.

Alan H. Schofield

In addition to window rubber, electrical, suspension, brake, service, glass, seals, interior, wiring, lights etc. Alan specialises in panels which are no longer available for the Splitscreen, Baywindow and Type 25 vans.

Many of their repair panels and parts are expertly manufactured by hand, in house, to the highest standards and specification. At the time of my own restoration many (sheet metal) parts have come from Alan to my great satisfaction.

Just Campers

I've been keeping an eye on Just Campers for a while now and it seems as if their selection of VW accessories and parts just keeps on growing and growing.

I have since bought a variety of products with some mixed results in terms of product quality, I once bought a set of windscreen wiper arms that were absolute rubbish. However I had better luck with engine parts, so still a good one to add to your collection of VW shops; even if it was just for the Rock and Roll Bed!

NH Speedometer

Looking for a new or custom speedometer? Original oil temperature gauge or tachometer? Look no further, the boys at North Hollywood Speedometer & Instruments have it all, both new or repair!

Not only do they have a wide variety of gauges, but also the corresponding senders and mounting equipment. Pretty expensive (at least from my point of view) but definitely one of the few (or the only) supplier for original looking VW gauges!

West Coast Metric

West Coast Metric is one of the pioneers when it comes to VW parts in the USA. They have been around as a family owned and operated business since 1977, as a leader in importing quality parts and accessories in the USA. In addition they manufacture many parts that have been discontinued by VW.

They are known for the quality window rubbers and seals. But enough about West Coast Metric, check it out yourself in their web-shop! Personally I have not bought anything for my bus from them, but every beetle part I got was top notch!

Creative Engineering

Stop your quest for Samba trims, a Westfalia roof rack or Safari windows. All of this can be found at Creative Engineering: Dave will personally guarantee the quality of his products.

Personally I feel the deliveries could be faster and yes, the products are not cheap, but the quality is truly, world-wide unmatched! The full length roof-rack I bought has been on my bus for more than 10 years now and there is not a single spec of rust to be found!

Methamorfose

Chrome plating is expensive, at least if you want it to be done well. The quality of most new chrome parts is not anywhere close to the original; I've bought hubcaps that started to show rust within half a year...

Luckily there is Metamorfose whom will chrome plate anything; big or small. Request a quote by sending pictures and sizes of the objects. They guarantee that you won’t survive the quality of their product. Contact them for details on international orders.

Paruzzi

Although Paruzzi initially specialised in beetle parts, they now deserve to be mentioned as an approved supplier with their ever increasing catalogue of bus parts and their superb web-store and world wide shipping services. Orders placed via the web-store will be delivered the next day if ordered from within the Benelux.

I ordered a diversity of parts for my engine, but also a new headliner and sun visors. Contact them for more details or special requests, as they have a lot of contacts in the Volkswagen scene.

Wolfsburg West

One of my friends directed me to Wolfsburg West, an American company that has been in the business for more than 25 years; making Wolfsburg West the ultimate source for Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Bus restoration parts.

They maintain a very easy to use and up to date web-shop, which makes shopping at Wolfsburg West a piece of cake. My personal experience was more than satisfactory: I bought a couple of bearings, bushes and door seals, that were delivered at my place in the Netherlands only 3 days later!
